Today, they announced David Nam is hopping onboard the media group. Nam Brings over two decades of international management and marketing experience to the table and is set to steer the media venture.
Formerly associated with global giant Red Bull, Nam was instrumental in crafting and executing the marketing communications strategy for their North American music portfolio. The portfolio spanned live events, broadcasts, and content, cementing Nam’s expertise in orchestrating high-profile media campaigns.
In his statement, Nam expressed his eagerness to infuse the Kanpai Collectives with his rich experience in the tech, entertainment, and culture sectors. “Kanpai Pandas combines all foundational elements I’m passionate about, reflecting both my personal and professional interests,” he said. Nam went on to laud the Kanpai Pandas for providing an umbrella for diverse interests, including music, sports, arts, technology, apparel, and live experiences, within a cutting-edge Web3 framework.
Nam’s appointment promises an exciting phase for Kanpai Pandas, especially considering his instrumental role in leading product communications and marketing at Last.fm. As one of the first 15 employees, he witnessed the growth of the London-based company until its acquisition by CBS Interactive for a whopping $280 million.
The multifaceted new member is not only a seasoned professional but also an ardent combat sports enthusiast and a former boxer. Add to that his skills as a DJ, music producer, and fluency in three languages, and you get a well-rounded addition to the team that perfectly fits the Panda culture.
Nam wasted no time in getting down to business, launching the pilot episode of the Overdogs Podcast within his first three days with the team. Featuring some of the world’s best MMA fighters – Sean Strickland, Mike Perry, and Bo Nickal, the episode has already been featured across the guests’ social media channels, reaching over 1.5 million followers.
